The Adsroid WordPress plugin does two things:
- Tracking: install Google Tag Manager and your ad pixels in a few clicks, with no code. No Adsroid account needed.
- SEO Copilot (beta): connect your site so Adsroid can plan, write and publish SEO-optimized articles on it. Requires an Adsroid account.
Requirements
- WordPress 5.8 or higher
- PHP 7.4 or higher
- Administrator access to your WordPress site
- An Adsroid account (SEO Copilot only)
Install the plugin
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- Search for Adsroid.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
An Adsroid menu now appears in your WordPress sidebar, with a Tracking tab and an SEO tab.
Set up tracking (no account required)
- Go to Adsroid → Tracking.
- Recommended: if you use Google Tag Manager, enter your GTM ID (format
GTM-XXXXXXX). GTM then manages all your tags from one place. When a GTM ID is set, the manual pixel fields are disabled automatically to prevent duplicate tracking. - No GTM? Fill in the IDs you need and leave the rest blank:

- Click Save Tracking Settings.
Your tags now load on every page. No theme edit needed.
Privacy: the plugin loads the tags you configure. If your audience is in the EU/UK, make sure your cookie consent tool controls them (for example through GTM Consent Mode).
Set up the SEO Copilot
The SEO Copilot is in beta. In this version:
- It works with WordPress sites only.
- It publishes 1 article per week.
- It is free for Scale plan users during the beta. Pricing will be announced later.
What it does
Adsroid analyzes your site (existing posts and pages, your project identity), builds an article strategy, then writes and publishes the article on your WordPress site in your brand voice. You can follow every planned and published article in the SEO section of your Adsroid dashboard.
Connect your site
- In WordPress, go to Adsroid → SEO.
- Copy your Site URL and your API Key (use the Copy buttons).
- In Adsroid (app.adsroid.com), open Projects → SEO.
- Paste the Site URL and API Key, then save.
- Your site shows as connected.
That’s it. Adsroid takes over from here. Articles publish as Draft.
Before you connect, verify your Project Identity (brand, tone, audience). The better it is, the closer the articles are to your voice. See Project Identity.
Manage your API key
Regenerate the key if it was exposed or you want to reset the connection:
- Go to Adsroid → SEO and click Regenerate Key, then confirm.
- Copy the new key and paste it in Adsroid right away.
⚠️ The old key stops working immediately. Publishing is paused until you update the key in Adsroid.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |

| Articles aren’t being published | The API Key in Adsroid must match the one in Adsroid → SEO exactly (no extra space). If you regenerated the key, update it in Adsroid. |
| Connection fails | Check the Site URL: full address with https://, no trailing path. Make sure the plugin is active. |
| A security plugin or firewall blocks Adsroid | Wordfence, iThemes, Cloudflare and similar tools can block external requests. Allow requests to your site’s REST API. |
| Duplicate tracking | You have GTM or a pixel in your theme and in the plugin. Keep only one. |
GTM warning about wp_body_open | Your theme doesn’t support this hook. GTM still works through the <head> snippet. Only the <noscript> fallback is missing. |
| Articles look off-brand | Complete your Project Identity in Adsroid. |

Uninstall
Uninstalling the plugin removes all Adsroid data from your WordPress database (pixel IDs and API key). Articles already published stay on your site, and your Adsroid account is not affected. Automatic publishing stops.

Do I need an Adsroid account?
Not for tracking. You need one for the SEO Copilot.
Which plan do I need for the SEO Copilot?
During the beta, it is free for Scale plan users. See Pricing for updates.
Does it work with other CMS (Shopify, Webflow…)?
Not yet. The beta supports WordPress only.
How many articles are published?
One per week during the beta.
Can I edit an article after it’s published?
Yes. Articles are standard WordPress posts you can edit anytime.
Will the plugin slow down my site?
No. It only injects lightweight tracking snippets through standard WordPress hooks and loads no external library itself.
GTM is already in my theme. Is that a problem?
It can cause duplicate tracking. Either leave the GTM ID field empty and use the manual pixel fields, or remove the GTM snippet from your theme.
