What is the Adsroid WordPress Plugin?
The Adsroid WordPress plugin connects your WordPress site to Adsroid, the AI Agent for Advertising that helps you optimize your Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and more in plain language.
The plugin does two things:
- Tracking: Install GTM and all your tracking pixels in seconds, without touching a single line of code. This works without an Adsroid account.
- SEO Content: Link your site to Adsroid so that automated, optimized articles can be published directly on your WordPress site. Requires an Adsroid account.
Requirements
- WordPress 5.8 or higher
- PHP 7.4 or higher
- Administrator access to your WordPress site
- An Adsroid account (for the SEO Content feature only)
Install the Plugin
1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
2. Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
3. Search for “Adsroid” in the search bar.
4. Click Install Now, then Activate.
Once activated, Adsroid will appear in your main WordPress navigation menu on the left.
Set Up Tracking (no account required)
The Tracking tab lets you install all your pixels and GTM without touching your theme or writing any code.
1. Go to Adsroid → Tracking in your WordPress menu.
2. If you use Google Tag Manager, enter your GTM ID (format: GTM-XXXXXXX) in the first field. This is the recommended approach — GTM will manage all your tags from a single place.
⚠️ If you enter a GTM ID, all manual pixel fields below will be automatically disabled to avoid duplicate tracking.
3. If you don’t use GTM, you can enter your pixel IDs manually for any of the following platforms:
- Meta Pixel
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Google Ads Tag
- Microsoft Ads (UET)
- TikTok Pixel
- Snapchat Pixel
- Pinterest Tag
Simply fill in the ID for each platform you use and leave the others blank.
4. Click Save Tracking Settings.
Your pixels are now live on every page of your site. No theme modification needed.
Connect Your Site to Adsroid (SEO Content)
This step links your WordPress site to your Adsroid account so that Adsroid can publish SEO-optimized articles automatically on your behalf.
1. Go to Adsroid → SEO in your WordPress menu.
2. Copy your Site URL using the Copy button.
3. Copy your API Key using the Copy button.
4. Log in to your Adsroid dashboard at app.adsroid.com.
5. Go to your site settings and paste both the Site URL and the API Key.
6. That’s it — Adsroid will now be able to publish articles directly on your WordPress site.
Once connected, you don’t need to do anything else. Adsroid handles content creation and publishing automatically.
How to Regenerate Your API Key
If your API key has been compromised or you want to reset the connection:
1. Go to Adsroid → SEO.
2. Click Regenerate Key and confirm the prompt.
3. Copy the new key and update it in your Adsroid dashboard immediately — the old key will stop working right away.
Uninstalling the Plugin
If you uninstall the plugin, all settings and data stored by Adsroid (pixels IDs, API key) will be automatically removed from your WordPress database. Your Adsroid account will not be affected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an Adsroid account to use the plugin? No. The Tracking tab works fully without an account. You only need an account to use the automated SEO content feature.
Will the plugin slow down my site? No. The plugin only injects lightweight tracking snippets using standard WordPress hooks. No external libraries are loaded by the plugin itself.
GTM is already installed on my theme — will there be a conflict? Yes, there could be duplicate tracking. If GTM is already present in your theme, do not enter a GTM ID in the plugin. Use the manual pixel fields instead, or remove the GTM snippet from your theme first.
My theme doesn’t support wp_body_open — is GTM still working? Yes. GTM works at ~95% via the <head> snippet alone. The <body> snippet is a fallback for browsers with JavaScript disabled, which is increasingly rare. The plugin will show a warning in this case.
I connected my site but articles aren’t being published — what should I check? Make sure the API Key in your Adsroid dashboard exactly matches the one shown in the Adsroid → SEO tab. If you regenerated your key, you need to update it in Adsroid as well.
