Multi-Platform: How Claude Knows Which Platform to Use

Adsroid MCP connects to multiple ad platforms — currently Google Ads and Meta Ads — through the same single API key and the same conversation. Claude determines which platform to act on based on the context of your request, so you don’t need to manually switch between them.

How Claude decides

1. You name the platform directly

The clearest signal. If your prompt mentions “Google Ads,” “Search campaign,” “Meta,” “Facebook,” or “Instagram ads,” Claude routes the action to the matching platform.

Example: “Show me the CTR of my Meta Ads campaigns this month.”

2. You name a campaign or asset that only exists on one platform

If you reference a campaign, ad set, or keyword that only exists in one connected account, Claude infers the platform from that context, without asking.

Example: “Pause the ad set ‘Summer Promo — Retargeting'” → Claude recognizes this as a Meta Ads structure (ad sets are Meta-specific; Google Ads uses ad groups).

3. The request is ambiguous or applies to both

If your prompt could apply to either platform (e.g., “increase my budget by 20%”) and the Project has both Google Ads and Meta Ads connected, Claude will ask you to clarify which platform you mean, rather than guessing.

Example: “Do you want me to apply this to your Google Ads campaigns, Meta Ads campaigns, or both?”

Terminology differences to keep in mind

Google Ads and Meta Ads use different naming conventions for similar structures. Claude understands both, but knowing them helps you write clearer prompts:

Best practices

  • Be explicit when your Project has both platforms connected, especially for write actions like budget changes or pausing campaigns.
  • Use platform-specific terms (ad group vs. ad set) when you want to target one platform precisely — this removes any ambiguity for Claude.
  • For cross-platform analysis (“compare my Google and Meta performance this month”), Claude will pull data from both automatically and present a unified view.
