Budget rarely stays optimally distributed on its own. A campaign that was your best performer three months ago might now be underperforming while a newer one is quietly outperforming it — but without actively comparing them, budget often stays where it’s always been, out of habit rather than logic. Adsroid MCP lets Claude compare everything at once and move budget to where it actually earns the best return.
The problem this solves
Knowing your budget is misallocated requires actively comparing performance across every campaign, on a consistent metric, over the same time period — then deciding how much to shift and manually updating each budget. Most advertisers do this occasionally, during a planned review, rather than continuously — which means underperformers often keep spending well past the point where the money would clearly do more elsewhere.
Example prompt
“Look at all my campaign budgets and tell me if anything should be reallocated based on performance this month.”
From this, Claude will:
- Pull performance metrics across all campaigns — cost, conversions, cost per conversion, conversion value — over the period
- Rank them against the metric that matters most for your business objective (efficiency vs. volume, depending on your Business Context)
- Identify clear over- and under-performers — not marginal differences, but campaigns meaningfully outperforming or underperforming the rest
- Propose a specific reallocation — how much to move, and from where to where
- Execute it, once you confirm, by updating the relevant budgets directly
Going further
You can scope this to exactly what you want to compare:
“Compare only my Search campaigns, not Display or Performance Max.”
“I have €2,000 total this month across all campaigns — tell me the ideal split based on current performance.”
“Should I move budget from my Brand campaign to my Prospecting campaign, or is Brand still worth protecting?”
That last example matters: Claude won’t blindly defund a lower-converting campaign if your business context shows it plays a strategic role (like Brand defense or funnel-top awareness) rather than being judged purely on last-click conversions.
Cross-platform reallocation
Since Adsroid MCP connects to both platforms through the same endpoint, you can also ask Claude to think across Google Ads and Meta Ads together:
“Across both Google and Meta, which platform is currently giving me the best cost per conversion, and should I shift budget between them?”
Why this beats a manual review
A manual budget review means pulling reports from each platform, aligning them on the same metric and time period, doing the comparison yourself, and then going into each platform separately to make the changes — usually done in a scheduled monthly review at best. Here, it’s one conversation, the comparison already accounts for your actual business priorities, and the changes are executed immediately once you approve them.
Tips for better results
- Specify the metric that matters most — conversions, conversion value, cost per conversion, ROAS. Claude will ask if it’s not clear which one should drive the decision.
- Flag strategic campaigns that shouldn’t be judged purely on last-click performance (Brand, awareness, retargeting) so Claude weighs them correctly rather than treating every campaign the same way.
- Set a review cadence — monthly is a reasonable default for most accounts; faster-moving accounts may benefit from a biweekly check.
- Working across multiple client Projects? Name the client or Project explicitly so Claude reallocates within the right account (see Understanding Projects).
