The 4 Action Types

Every tool available through Adsroid MCP falls into one of four categories. Understanding these helps you know what to expect from Claude before it acts — and which actions are read-only versus which ones change your live campaigns.

Analyze

Analyze actions read and interpret your advertising data without making any changes. This covers performance reports, trend analysis, competitor insights via Ad Radar, and diagnostics on campaigns, ad groups, or keywords.

Example: “Analyze why CPA increased on my Search campaigns last week.”

Manage

Manage actions modify existing elements of your account — budgets, bids, statuses, targeting, or ad extensions. These are write actions on things that already exist, rather than creating something new.

Example: “Pause the underperforming ad sets in my Meta campaign and increase the budget on the top performer.”

Create

Create actions build new elements from scratch: campaigns, ad groups, ads, experiments, or audiences. These are the most consequential write actions, since they add new structures to your account.

Example: “Create a new Search campaign targeting ‘ai marketing tools’ with a $50/day budget.”

Test

Test actions set up and manage experiments — A/B tests, campaign drafts, or experiment arms — to validate a change before rolling it out fully. This lets you compare performance safely rather than applying changes directly to a live campaign.

Example: “Set up an A/B test comparing my current ad copy against a new variant for 2 weeks.”

Why this matters

Knowing which category an action falls into helps you anticipate impact: Analyze is always safe to run freely, while Manage, Create, and Test change your live account and should be reviewed carefully, especially when working across multiple client Projects.
